YPO Global One is a group of dedicated volunteers who commit their time to give back to the chapter and provide value and connectivity to you as members. We are grateful to have Devlin Fenton as our 2015-2016 Education Chair. Please take a moment to read this introduction from Devlin:
I invite you to join me on a journey of discovery – a journey of re-acquaintance with ourselves, our families and our businesses. Engage this year and learn valuable steps toward knowing ourselves, even if only a little better.
- The initial leg of the Journey starts with a social query – “Who are you to your business?”
When families get together and communities develop, powerful groups form. Impactful groups coalesce behind a powerful leadership and change the world in giant quantum leaps. What is Your Business Culture?
- The Journey’s next leg begins with an intimate query – “Who are you when with your family/partner?”
As a powerful individual, you impact those around you; your spouse, children and parents. Relationships matter, our special people care about us, and we care about our special people. What is Your Family Culture?
- The final, and longest leg of this Journey starts with a personal query – “Who are you when you’re alone?”
Here we need to learn about who we are as individuals. Armed with this information, all personal improvement efforts are amped up and enjoy staying power. What is Your Personal Culture?
While the majority of the content being curated and delivered this year will be business-focused, we have carefully selected presenters who will stay in theme, and continue to deliver World Class Education content.

Our latest webinar on 22 June, 2016, Build Awesome Culture, featured Candra Canning of Live Bright Now. Candra continues to be a driving force in the Corporate Culture World. This webinar provided a chance to get beyond culture initiatives and into the new frontier of the awe mindset. Infusing your organization with a sense of wonder and awe increases alignment, innovation, and produces extraordinary performance results. Additionally, Candra explored UC Berkeley’s new findings on the neuroscience of awe and its benefits for creativity, stress reduction and teamwork. Candra gave us the opportunity to peer around the corner into the future of what nature and awe can do for your company and your most important business results.

Build a Company of Engaged and Dynamic Employees with Barry Schlouch

In this webinar, Barry discussed his CTH model (Care-Trust-Help) for building a business through building a workforce. It was an interactive session where Barry shared proven techniques (many that go against the grain of what is often taught) and leveraged the collective genius of the group to share techniques to strengthen your culture, improve your retention, increase the growth of your team, and attract talented people that seek out your company.
Barry Schlouch, with his wife, began a civil construction company out of the basement of their home with $2,000 in 1983. Over the past 32 years, they have completed $1 billion in business, employ 250 dedicated and engaged employees (including their first employee from 32 years ago), and were ranked the #1 Best Place to Work in PA by former Governor Tom Ridge.
